Applications for the 2017 Indigenous STEM Awards open on 16 October 2017. This term is the perfect opportunity to plan and collect evidence for applications/nominations.


The Indigenous STEM Awards recognise, reward and promote the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people studying and working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The role of professionals, teachers and mentors is also recognised in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in pursuing STEM education and careers.

2017 Annual Research Translation Symposium

6th Rural and Remote Health Scientific Symposium: Outback Infront

Drawing upon a tradition which commenced with the first rural and remote health scientific conference ‘Infront Outback’ held in Toowoomba in 1992, the 6th Rural and Remote Health Scientific Symposium will be held in Canberra, 11-12 April 2018.


The Symposium will celebrate 20 years since the establishment of the first university department of rural health in 1997 and will highlight the research and knowledge that followed this innovation.
