The LIME Network Indigenous Pathways into Medicine Online Resource is designed to help future students determine which university will be the best fit for them as they study to become a doctor. There are many paths to gain entry into a medical degree.
The videos were developed in partnership with Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association and Te ORA Māori Medical Practitioners Association, who helped identify medical students and graduates interviewed for the project. Interviews were filmed and edited by Bagarrmugu man Caden Pearson.
The following videos show examples of Indigenous student and graduate experiences of getting into medicine, support and challenges while studying, and information about their careers after graduating.
