Staff Bio

Dr. Liesa Clague is an Aboriginal woman of the Yaegl peoples from the North Coast of New South Wales on her mother’s side, and on her father’s side has Manx heritage from Isle of Man.

Dr Clague has worked in various roles in the Aboriginal sector such as with the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW and Aboriginal Medical Services in NSW. She has also worked in the non-government sector with organisations including Family Planning NSW and Family Planning NT.

Dr Clague now holds a leading role in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University, as Lecturer in Indigenous Health Education, focusing on health education and curriculum development.
