Abstract
A great deal has been published on the disadvantage that Indigenous Australians experience which prevents them from undertaking university studies or of succeeding if they do. Despite this, many Indigenous Australians do enrol in university and successfully complete their studies. This article will report on research that explores why these students succeed and argue that the underlying factor is resilience.
